Special Wheelhouse Weekend

With the arrival of November, so comes the end of the Wheelhouse’s 2009 season. But there are afew ways to stave off the pain a bit, so join us at one or all of the following:

• Critical Mass, Friday, Oct. 30 @ 6:30 p.m. @ Grand Circus Park.

• Alleycat Race, Friday, Oct. 30 @ 6:30 p.m. @ Hart Plaza.

• End-of-Season Sale, Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Save on bikes, tubes, tires, baskets,  racks, lights and bags. Stock up for the winter or buy some holiday gifts now!

• Fare-Thee-Well Soiree,  Sunday, Nov. 1, 5 to 7 p.m. Swing by to take advantage of our sale and enjoy some snacks and brew…and say goodbye for the year!

Easing into autumn

Beginning Friday, October 2, we start our fall hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. We can still do special orders and make arrangements for rentals and private tours during the week. You just have to call us ahead of time at 313-656-2453.

Labor Day Closure 09/08/09

We are taking the day off on Tuesday, September 8 for Labor Day. We will be here on the holiday, tho!

New Helmets in Stock

We’ve become a Bell and Giro dealer, so any fancy schmancy helmets you’ve got your eye on can now be procured through us. The first one we’ve got in stock is the Giro Transfer, a nice universal helmet with a reasonable price of $35.

We have it in black, white/silver, blue/black (pictured), mint and red/black. We still have Lazer, 661 and Protech helmets in stock as well.

This Weekend @ The Wheelhouse

Don’t forget the Colin Hubbell Memorial Ride on Saturday! Register here or show up at 8:30 a.m. at Scott Fountain on Belle Isle!

It is River Days, which is good and bad.

The good: Our rentals are 33% off — so a 2-hour rental will cost you just $10 instead of $15.

The bad: Parking can be an issue. For service drop-offs and pick-ups, drive straight down Rivard, on the garage door side of our shop. For rentals, you’re going to have to pony up and pay for parking in one of the structures in the area. The closest one to us is at the NW corner of Atwater & Rivard. Spittin’ distance. If you have any issues, give us a ring at 313-656-2453!

Finally, we are thrilled to announce some early info about this year’s Tour de Troit. Pre-registration will kick off on July 1 at the T-Plex at 5:30 p.m. followed by a 10-mile ride that will end up at Comerica City Fest! Read all the deets here.

Closure for Red Bull

Reminder: We are closed Satuday and Sunday, June 13 & 14 for the Red Bull Air Races. We’ll miss you!

Movement Fest Discount + Closed Memorial Day

Take a break from the breaks! This weekend, anyone with a Movement wristband gets a $5 break off a 2-hour rental. It’ll run you just $10.

And we are closed Memorial Day — that’s Monday, May 25. Sunday & Tuesday pick-up & drop-offs of bikes can be arranged.
